Problem

The function g(x)=ekx−mx2g(x)=e^{kx}-mx^{2} is defined for x≥0x\ge 0, where kk and mm are positive real parameters. (a) Compute g′′(x)g''(x) in terms of kk and mm. (b) Derive the inequality that kk and mm must satisfy so that gg is concave down for every x≥0x\ge 0. (c) For parameter values that satisfy the inequality in part (b), determine whether x=0x=0 is a point of inflection of gg. Justify your answer.
