Problem

Consider a capacitor made of two very large perpendicular plates. (Let the positive xx and yy axes in the diagram of Problem 4 represent a cross section of the capacitor.) Let one plate (xx axis) be held at potential V=0V = 0, and the other plate (yy axis) be held at potential V=100V = 100 volts. Find the potential V(x,y)V(x, y) for x>0x > 0, y>0y > 0, and the equations of the equipotentials. Hint: This problem is mathematically identical with Problem 4.
