Problem

Suppose (X,S,μ)(X, \mathcal{S}, \mu) is a measure space, f:X→[0,∞]f: X \to [0, \infty] is S\mathcal{S}-measurable, and PP and P′P' are S\mathcal{S}-partitions of XX such that each set in P′P' is contained in some set in PP. Prove that L(f,P)≤L(f,P′)\mathcal{L}(f, P) \leq \mathcal{L}(f, P').
