Problem

(Challenging) Show that the hypothesis that g(c2)=Lg(c_2) = L in Exercise 3.1.9 is necessary. That is, find ff and gg such that f(x)→c2f(x) \to c_2 as x→c1x \to c_1 and g(y)→Lg(y) \to L as y→c2y \to c_2, but g(f(x))g\bigl(f(x)\bigr) does not go to LL as x→c1x \to c_1.
