Problem
Reduce to the solution of ordinary differential equations the determination of the Nusselt number for free convection on a flat vertical wall. It is assumed that the velocity and the temperature differences are appreciably different from zero only in a thin boundary layer adjoining the surface of the wall (E. Pohlhausen 1921).
