Problem

The following five statements are parts of a derivation that leads to the relation between force, mass and acceleration for constant mass motion in a straight line. They are given in jumbled order: A. Substitute Δp=m(v−u)\Delta p = m(v-u) into F=ΔptF = \frac{\Delta p}{t}. B. According to Newton’s Second Law, F=ΔptF = \frac{\Delta p}{t}. C. Therefore F=m v−utF = m\,\frac{v - u}{t}. D. The change in momentum is Δp=m(v−u)\Delta p = m(v-u). E. By definition, acceleration a=v−uta = \frac{v - u}{t}. a. (i) Rearrange the above statements in the correct logical order to obtain the final relation. b. (ii) After arranging, write the final simplified expression for FF in terms of mm and aa.
