Problem

A current of 0.25 A0.25\,\text{A} flows steadily through a conductor from point AA to point BB. Answer the following: (i) Calculate the total charge that passes a cross-section in 20 min20\,\text{min}. (ii) If this charge consists solely of electrons, estimate the number of electrons that cross the section in this time. (Take elementary charge e=1.6×10−19 Ce = 1.6\times10^{-19}\,\text{C}.) (iii) State the sign (positive or negative) of the charge transferred and give a brief reason. b. (ii) Estimate the number of electrons that cross the section in this time. (Take e=1.6×10−19 Ce = 1.6\times10^{-19}\,\text{C}.)
