Problem

Suppose TT is a bounded operator on a Hilbert space VV. Prove that if there exists an orthonormal basis {ek}k∈Γ\{e_k\}_{k \in \Gamma} of VV such that ∑k∈Γ∥Tek∥2<∞,\sum_{k \in \Gamma} \|Te_k\|^2 < \infty, then TT is compact.
