A square conducting loop of side 0.20m and resistance 2.0Ω is placed in a uniform magnetic field which is perpendicular to the plane of the loop. The magnetic flux through the loop varies with time according to Φ(t)=(5.0×10−4Wb)t2, where t is in seconds.
Answer the following questions.
a. (i) Calculate the magnitude of the induced emf in the loop at t=3.0s. Also find the induced current at that instant.
b. (ii) State clearly whether the induced current at t=3.0s is clockwise or counter-clockwise as seen by an observer to whom the magnetic field lines appear to enter the page. Give reasons for your answer.
