Problem

Suppose T∈L(V,W)T \in \mathcal{L}(V, W), where VV and WW are finite-dimensional and nonzero. Prove that dim⁡range⁡T=1\dim \operatorname{range} T = 1 if and only if there exist a basis of VV and a basis of WW such that with respect to these bases, all entries of M(T)\mathcal{M}(T) equal 1.
