Problem

(1) Verify that the 2×22 \times 2 matrices Jx(1/2)J_x^{(1/2)}, Jy(1/2)J_y^{(1/2)}, and Jz(1/2)J_z^{(1/2)} obey the commutation rule [Jx(1/2),Jy(1/2)]=iℏJz(1/2)[J_x^{(1/2)}, J_y^{(1/2)}] = i\hbar J_z^{(1/2)}. (2) Do the same for the 3×33 \times 3 matrices Ji(1)J_i^{(1)}. (3) Construct the 4×44 \times 4 matrices and verify that [Jx(3/2),Jy(3/2)]=iℏJz(3/2)[J_x^{(3/2)}, J_y^{(3/2)}] = i\hbar J_z^{(3/2)}
