Problem

Let AA be an n×nn \times n matrix with real entries such that A2+I=0A^2 + I = 0. Prove that nn is even, and if n=2kn = 2k, then AA is similar over the field of real numbers to a matrix of the block form [0−II0]\begin{bmatrix} 0 & -I \\ I & 0 \end{bmatrix} where II is the k×kk \times k identity matrix.
