THERMAL CONDUCTION IN FLUIDS

Physics — Landau & Lifshitz · thermal-conduction-infinite-medium

Problem

The specific heat and thermal conductivity of a medium vary as powers of the temperature, while its density is constant. Determine the manner in which the temperature tends to zero near the boundary of the region which, at a given instant, has received heat propagated from an arbitrary source (the temperature outside that region being zero).
