Problem

Using the previous exercise with b=2b = 2 (binary), show that cardinality of R\mathbb{R} is the same as the cardinality of P(N)\mathcal{P}(\mathbb{N}), obtaining yet another (though related) proof that R\mathbb{R} is uncountable. Hint: Construct two injections, one from [0,1][0, 1] to P(N)\mathcal{P}(\mathbb{N}) and one from P(N)\mathcal{P}(\mathbb{N}) to [0,1][0, 1]. Hint 2: Given a set A⊂NA \subset \mathbb{N}, let the nnth binary digit of xx be 11 if n∈An \in A.
