Mathematics — Linear Algebra · spectral-theorem

Problem

Suppose VV is a complex vector space and T∈L(V)T \in \mathcal{L}(V) is normal. Prove that if SS is an operator on VV that commutes with TT, then SS commutes with T∗T^*. The result in this exercise is called Fuglede's theorem.
