Problem

Why is the norm of BkB^k never larger than ∥B∥k\|B\|^k? Then ∥B∥<1\|B\| < 1 guarantees that the powers BkB^k approach zero (convergence). This is no surprise, since ∣λ∣max⁡|\lambda|_{\max} is below ∥B∥\|B\|.
