Problem

Suppose F=C\mathbf{F} = \mathbf{C}, VV is finite-dimensional, T∈L(V)T \in \mathcal{L}(V), and all eigenvalues of TT have absolute value less than 11. Let ϵ>0\epsilon > 0. Prove that there exists a positive integer mm such that ∥Tmv∥≤ϵ∥v∥\|T^m v\| \leq \epsilon \|v\| for every v∈Vv \in V.
