Problem

Let GG be a group with order pnp^n where pp is prime and XX a finite GG-set. If XG={x∈X:gx=x for all g∈G}X_G = \{x \in X : gx = x \text{ for all } g \in G\} is the set of elements in XX fixed by the group action, then prove that ∣X∣≡∣XG∣(modp)|X| \equiv |X_G| \pmod{p}.
