Problem

Suppose dim⁡V≥2\dim V \geq 2 and T∈L(V)T \in \mathcal{L}(V) is such that null⁡Tdim⁡V−2≠null⁡Tdim⁡V−1\operatorname{null} T^{\dim V - 2} \neq \operatorname{null} T^{\dim V - 1}. Prove that TT has at most two distinct eigenvalues.
