Problem

A student claims that sin⁡(90∘−θ)=cos⁡θ\sin(90^{\circ}-\theta)=\cos \theta because the two ratios correspond to the same pair of perpendicular sides in a right–angled triangle. (i) Using a labelled right–angled triangle, explain why this statement is true. (ii) From part (i), write any two other pairs of complementary trigonometric ratios that are equal.
