Problem

Consider the function gg defined by g(x)=32x+1g(x)=\dfrac{3}{2x+1} for all real xx for which it is defined. a. (i) Determine the domain of gg. b. (ii) Solve y=g(x)y=g(x) for xx and hence find the range of gg. c. (iii) Find all real numbers xx satisfying g(x)=1g(x)=1 and those satisfying g(x)=−2g(x)=-2. d. (iv) Verify that the product of the two xx-values obtained in part (iii) is a constant independent of the chosen equation (g(x)=1(g(x)=1 or g(x)=−2)g(x)=-2).
