Problem

A solid block of mass 4 kg4\,\text{kg} is released from rest at the top of a friction-free inclined plane of length 5 m5\,\text{m} that makes an angle of 30∘30^{\circ} with the horizontal. (i) Calculate the component of gravitational force acting along the plane. (ii) Determine the acceleration of the block as it slides down the plane. (iii) Find the time taken by the block to reach the bottom of the incline. (iv) Compute the speed of the block at the instant it reaches the lower end.
