Problem

Suppose TT is a normal operator on VV. Suppose also that v,w∈Vv, w \in V satisfy the equations ∥v∥=∥w∥=2,Tv=3v,Tw=4w.\|v\| = \|w\| = 2, \quad Tv = 3v, \quad Tw = 4w. Show that ∥T(v+w)∥=10\|T(v + w)\| = 10.
