Problem

A tungsten filament in an electric bulb behaves approximately like a perfect blackbody. When it is glowing, the wavelength at which its emitted radiation is most intense is found to be 580 nm580\,\text{nm}. (i) Calculate the temperature of the filament in kelvin. (ii) Express this temperature in degree Celsius, correct to the nearest whole number.
