Problem

A spacecraft is 'parked' in a circular orbit 200 km above the Earth's surface. The spacecraft is to be sent to the Moon's orbit by Hohmann transfer. Find the velocity changes ΔvE\Delta v^E and ΔvM\Delta v^M that are required at the Earth and Moon respectively. How long does the journey take? [The radius of the Moon's orbit is 384,000 km. Neglect the gravitation of the Moon.]
