Problem

Let ff and gg be real-valued functions defined on subsets of R\mathbb{R}. a. (i) Define (f+g)(x)(f+g)(x) and (f−g)(x)(f-g)(x). b. (ii) If Dom⁡(f)=A\operatorname{Dom}(f)=A and Dom⁡(g)=B\operatorname{Dom}(g)=B, explain with reason what the domain of f+gf+g should be. c. (iii) Give one explicit example of two functions ff and gg such that Dom⁡(f)=R∖{2}\operatorname{Dom}(f)=\mathbb{R}\setminus\{2\} and Dom⁡(g)=R∖{−3}\operatorname{Dom}(g)=\mathbb{R}\setminus\{-3\}, and write the domain of f+gf+g for your example.
