Problem

Let FF be a field and let nn be a positive integer (n≥2n \geq 2). Let VV be the vector space of all n×nn \times n matrices over FF. Which of the following sets of matrices AA in VV are subspaces of VV? (a) all invertible AA; (b) all non-invertible AA; (c) all AA such that AB=BAAB = BA, where BB is some fixed matrix in VV; (d) all AA such that A2=AA^2 = A.
