Problem

Determining your frame Imagine that you are on a large rotating disk, with ω\boldsymbol{\omega} perpendicular to the disk at its center. Assume that you know that the center of the disk is fixed, and that no real forces act on anything on the disk (except gravity pulling down, which is canceled by the normal force). Assume that ω\boldsymbol{\omega} changes only in magnitude, and that this rate of change is constant. Is it possible for you to determine ω\omega and dω/dtd\omega/dt, and also the location of the center of the disk, by performing experiments in the rotating frame only?
