Problem

A metal bar rotates about a vertical axis which passes through the center of the bar. The axis of rotation is perpendicular to the length of the bar. There is a uniform magnetic field in the vertical direction. The emf (or potential difference) induced between the two ends of the bar is, (a) zero. (b) a sinusoidally oscillating value. (c) a non-zero positive value. (d) a non-zero negative value.
