Problem

Let S:={ak:k∈N}∪{bk:k∈N}S := \{a_k : k \in \mathbb{N}\} \cup \{b_k : k \in \mathbb{N}\}, ordered such that ak<bja_k < b_j for every kk and jj, ak<ama_k < a_m whenever k<mk < m, and bk>bmb_k > b_m whenever k<mk < m. a) Show that SS is an ordered set. b) Show that every subset of SS is bounded (both above and below). c) Find a bounded subset of SS that has no least upper bound.
