Problem

A particle PP of mass mm moves under the gravitational attraction of a mass MM fixed at the origin OO. Initially PP is at a distance aa from OO when it is projected with the critical escape speed (2MG/a)1/2(2MG/a)^{1/2} directly away from OO. Find the distance of PP from OO at time tt, and confirm that PP escapes to infinity.
