Problem

A chemical solution is cooling such that its temperature TT in degrees Celsius at time tt minutes is given by T(t)=20+80(0.9)tT(t) = 20 + 80(0.9)^{t}. Find the inverse function t(T)t(T) that describes the time elapsed as a function of temperature. Using this, calculate the time when the temperature reaches 35∘C35^{\circ}\text{C} (leave answer in terms of logarithms).
