Problem

Let VV be the inner product space in Exercise 7 and GG the group of unitary matrices in VV. If BB is in GG, let CBC_B denote the linear operator on VV defined by CB(A)=BAB−1.C_B(A) = BAB^{-1}. Show that (a) CBC_B is a unitary operator on VV; (b) CB1B2=CB1CB2C_{B_1B_2} = C_{B_1}C_{B_2}; (c) there is no unitary transformation UU on VV such that ULBU−1=CBUL_BU^{-1} = C_B for all BB in GG.
