Problem

An observer is at fixed (r,θ)(r,\theta) coordinates in the ergoregion of a Kerr black hole and has angular velocity Ω=dϕ/dt\Omega = d\phi/dt with respect to a second observer at rest at infinity. Show that the allowed range for Ω\Omega is given by Ω−<Ω<Ω+\Omega_- < \Omega < \Omega_+, where Ω±=ω±c(ΔΣ2)1/2\Omega_{\pm} = \omega \pm c\left(\frac{\Delta}{\Sigma^2}\right)^{1/2} and ω\omega, Δ\Delta and Σ2\Sigma^2 have their usual meanings in the Kerr metric.
