Problem

A symmetric body moves without the influence of forces or torques. Let x3x_3 be the symmetry axis of the body and L\mathbf{L} be along x3′x_3'. The angle between ω\boldsymbol{\omega} and x3x_3 is α\alpha. Let ω\boldsymbol{\omega} and L\mathbf{L} initially be in the x2x_2-x3x_3 plane. What is the angular velocity of the symmetry axis about L\mathbf{L} in terms of I1I_1, I3I_3, ω\omega, and α\alpha?
