Problem

According to a simplified but still useful model, the drag force due to air resistance on a moving car goes like the square of the car's speed vv. Suppose that the maximum speed of a car is limited only by this drag force. If the power of the car's engine were increased by 50%, the top speed of the car would increase by about (a) 50%; (b) 15%; (c) 22%; (d) 30%.
