Problem

An architect is designing a roof profile using the function f(x)f(x) which is an inverted V-shape with the peak at (5,4)(5, 4) and endpoints at (2,1)(2, 1) and (8,1)(8, 1). To fit a wider building, the profile is transformed to h(x)=f(x−12)h(x) = f\left(\frac{x-1}{2}\right). Note: This combines shift and scale. Determine the xx -coordinate of the peak of the new roof profile.
