Problem

Suppose VV is finite-dimensional. Suppose ⟨⋅,⋅⟩1\langle \cdot, \cdot \rangle_1, ⟨⋅,⋅⟩2\langle \cdot, \cdot \rangle_2 are inner products on VV with corresponding norms ∥⋅∥1\|\cdot\|_1 and ∥⋅∥2\|\cdot\|_2. Prove that there exists a positive number cc such that ∥v∥1≤c∥v∥2\|v\|_1 \leq c\|v\|_2 for every v∈Vv \in V.
