(i) Explain clearly why a surface that is a good absorber of radiation at a particular temperature is also a good emitter at the same temperature.
(ii) Using the above idea, compare a surface coated with lampblack and a highly polished silver surface kept at the same temperature with respect to (a) their ability to absorb incident radiation and (b) their ability to emit thermal radiation.
