Problem
We happen to have forgotten a spring with natural length l = 0.5 m and a spring constant of k = 5 N·m⁻¹ in the outer space. There is a mass m₁ = 1 kg attached to one end of the spring while at the other end, there is a mass m₂ = 3 kg. Compute the period of small oscillations of the spring.
