Problem

A small needle-shaped body with moment of inertia I=2×10−6 kg m2I = 2 \times 10^{-6}\,\text{kg}\,\text{m}^{2} and electric dipole moment p=10−5 C mp = 10^{-5}\,\text{C}\,\text{m} is placed in a uniform electric field E=200 N/CE = 200\,\text{N/C}. The dipole is displaced slightly from its stable equilibrium and released. Calculate the time period of small oscillations. (Take π2=10\pi^{2} = 10)
