Problem

Let MM be a closed orientable surface embedded in R3\mathbb{R}^3 in such a way that reflection across a plane PP defines a homeomorphism r:M→Mr: M \to M fixing M∩PM \cap P, a collection of circles. Is it possible to homotope rr to have no fixed points?
