(i) Calculate the equivalent resistance when the resistors are joined (a) in series, (b) in parallel.
(ii) For each arrangement determine the current drawn from the battery.
(iii) For each arrangement find the total power consumed by the combination.
(iv) Compare the powers obtained in part (iii) and state which connection makes better use of the same battery voltage, giving a brief reason.
