Problem

For w=sin⁡zw = \sin z show that the line segment −π2<x<π2-\dfrac{\pi}{2} < x < \dfrac{\pi}{2}, y=0y = 0, and the vertical line x=ax = a, where ∣a∣<π2|a| < \dfrac{\pi}{2}, are mapped onto orthogonal curves.
