Problem

Suppose f:[a,b]→Rf : [a,b] \to \mathbb{R} and g:[a,b]→Rg : [a,b] \to \mathbb{R} are bounded. a) Show ∫ab‾(f+g)≤∫ab‾f+∫ab‾g\overline{\int_a^b}(f+g) \leq \overline{\int_a^b} f + \overline{\int_a^b} g and ∫ab‾(f+g)≥∫ab‾f+∫ab‾g\underline{\int_a^b}(f+g) \geq \underline{\int_a^b} f + \underline{\int_a^b} g. b) Find example ff and gg where the inequality is strict. Hint: ff and gg should not be Riemann integrable.
