Problem

An n×nn \times n matrix AA is called triangular if Aij=0A_{ij} = 0 whenever i>ji > j or if Aij=0A_{ij} = 0 whenever i<ji < j. Prove that the determinant of a triangular matrix is the product A11A22⋯AnnA_{11}A_{22} \cdots A_{nn} of its diagonal entries.
